SHUTTLES
How early/late will shuttles be running?
-Shuttles to/from satellite parking will be running all day. They will start 30 minutes before the gates open.
Shuttles from Boone:
Parking is located at the ASU campus stadium lot (next to Trivett Dining Hall). Shuttles run Friday 3 pm - 8 pm, and Saturday 10 am - 8 pm. Boone Taxi Shuttles are running from Boone Mall and Stadium Lot starting at 10am on Friday and Saturday, until 2am. $3 per person, each way. Call 828-266-3860 for more information.
Parking is located at the Boone mall. Shuttles run from 11 am - 8 pm and Saturday 10 am - 8 pm. Boone Taxi Shuttles are running from Boone Mall and Stadium Lot starting at 10am on Friday and Saturday, until 2am. $3 per person, each way. Call 828-266-3860 for more information.
Shuttles will be running from 8 pm to the end of the festival to accommodate people wanting to leave early.
Satellite Parking/Shuttles from Banner Elk:
Parking is located at the base and tiers of Sugar Mountain. Shuttles run Friday 11 am - 1 am, and Saturday 10 am - 1 am Sunday.
Please bring $5 to cover the cost of parking. Proper signs and staff will assist you in safely parking where you are delegated. The buses will take you on a short 8 minute ride to Grandfather Campgrounds. The buses will run continuously throughout the scheduled time (shown above). Shuttles are provided at no cost. Please carpool!
I will be riding the shuttles – how will I carry my heavy camping equipment to the site?
- Passengers will be allowed to carry camping equipment on the shuttle.
Will shuttles run on Sunday after the festival?
Yes, they will run all morning back to the parking lots for your vehicles.
Are there shuttles running from Boone Mall and Stadium Lot?
YES! Boone Taxi Shuttles are running from Boone Mall and Stadium Lot starting at 10am on Friday and Saturday, until 2am. $3 per person, each way. Call 828-266-3860 for more information. I don’t have my tickets, but plan to buy them when I arrive. How early/late can I come each day and enter the site?

Are tickets rain or shine?
- YES - all tickets are rain or shine
If it looks like it’s going to rain the entire weekend, and I don’t want to come anymore – can I get a refund?
-NO – Tickets are rain or shine.
What is the cost of children’s tickets?
- Children 13 & under are given free admission.
Where can I buy tickets in Boone? Any physical ticket locations?
- Yes, Green Mother Goods, Footsloggers, ASU Bookstore, Appalachian Music.

Will you search my cooler?
-YES – we will search your cooler. If you have medical equipment (such as insulin supplies), please inform the security personnel searching your cooler.
Can I bring Alcohol?
-We have a BYOB policy. When checking in you must purchase a$10 alcohol wristband, which allows you to legally drink at our festival. We have this system to try and help keep cost low for our customers but we ask everyone to respect our policy. If you are NOT 21, you cannot drink alcohol. NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, NO liquor and NO glass. Only cans.
If you are caught drinking without a wristband, you will be asked to leave the festival. Think about it…$10 to legally drink your own beer or risk having your $70 ticket go down the drain. You do the math!
What can I NOT bring?
- GLASS, glow sticks, weapons, dogs and pets, fireworks, laser pointers, illegal substances, liquor, Styrofoam coolers and bad attitudes are NOT ALLOWED.
What SHOULD I bring?
- Sunscreen, rain coat, WATER, cash, some type of hat, smiles, YOUR TICKET, blanket, chairs, good attitudes!
VENDORS
I am a vendor, how early can I come and setup on site?
Vendors can come and setup at 5:00pm on Thursday the 25th. For more information, contact Mary at 919-406-1279
GENERAL QUESTIONS
What do I do in case of medical emergency on site?
-Medical emergencies are exactly that – THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT to us than your safety and your general well-being. There is one designated FIRST AID areas on site, and there are trained medical personnel on site at all times. Please familiarize yourself with these locations as soon as you enter the site. ADDITIONALLY, if there is an emergency, feel free to approach ANY FESTIVAL STAFF or VOLUNTEER, ANYONE carrying a RADIO, driving a GOLF CART, wearing a STAFF t-shirt, or a volunteer shirt will make it their priority to help. Finally, our festival goers are an amazing group of people – please ask for help if you need it.
Will I be able to drive in and out of the site during the weekend?
- The only cars onsite will be those who are camping. Once onsite, we strongly discourage in and out traffic. In case of an emergency, you will be permitted to leave and come back. Please respect our policy, do not abuse it.

-AUDIO: Unless otherwise announced prior to a specific performance, YES. Taping is on a first come basis. PLEASE NOTE: the taping is for personal use only, and you DO NOT have permission to use your taped performances in ANY commercial way.
